• When all data cannot be copied

2. PCB Main Ass’y adjustments (Flicker adjustments, Usage Time setup)
3. EDID data writing is carried out
4. Data writing for Serial number and Model number

Model-Specific Data Writing Procedure (When replacing of the PCB Main

Ass’y on PJ WX6181N)

Model-specific data writing procedure

When replacing of the PCB Main Ass’y on PJ X6181N or PJ WU6181N, it is not necessary to perform
model-specific data writing.

• Writing procedures shall be performed from step 1 to step 2.

Writing the model-specific VerUpField data

Writing software : PJUpgrader2vupf.exe
File name to be written : VUPF_X6181NtoWX6181N.bin

2.

Writing the model-specific product data

Writing software : PJUpgrader2.exe
File name to be written : WX6181N_CB3_V****.bin and WX6181N_Data_V******.bin

3.

Initial setting of writing software

[COM port]: Set the COM port of the used PC (this is explained in the following procedure).
[Baud rate]: Match the setting of the projector

Operation Procedure

Prior to operation, install the writing software (PJUpgrader2vupf.exe and PJUpgrader2.exe) and copy
the files for the model (VUPF_X6181NtoWX6181N.bin, WX6181N_CB3_V****.bin and
WX6181N_Data_V******.bin).

Model-specific VerUpField data

Connect the projector to a PC with an RS232C cable (Cross).
