5.10.2 Configuration of EtherNet/IP variants

The IP address of the Ethernet/IP module is set on the
PLC and not on the weighing terminal.

In the EtherNet/IP variant, the WTX120 works as an
Ethernet/IP adapter, forming an I/O interface with up to
64 input words and 64 output words. This device variant
is suitable for transfer speeds up to 100 MBit/s.

The significance of the individual data words depends on
the application, and can be found in the relevant operat
ing manual.

To set the WTX120 parameters in the EtherNet/IP vari
ants, an EDS file is required which you can download
from

www.hbm.com/de/6304/wtx120-industrielles-eich

faehiges-waegeterminal/

, device category WTX120.

5.11 Ethernet ports

The Ethernet port (LAN) is located on the underside of
the device.

The Ethernet connection is made at the 'LAN' port by a
shielded RJ45 connector.

Only shielded Ethernet cable (minimum CAT5e) with a
maximum length of 80 meters may be used.
