In the event of fluctuations in ground potential, a
balancing current may flow via the double-side shield. In
this case an additional equipotential bonding line must be
laid.

Important

Terminal designation: Some manufacturers of
components with RS485 ports designate the terminals
differently. According to the standard, the TxD+ / RxD+
port is designated 'B' and the TxD– / RxD– port 'A'.

Important

Cable: Always use twisted-pair cables! The surge
impedance of the cable should be approximately 150

W.

Connection of the PROFINET device
variant

Two RJ45 sockets are provided on the front for
connection to a PROFINET network. This enables a star
or linear topology to be constructed.
The internal switch required for a linear topology is
included in the WTX120.
