5. Clean the outer blade flange (4) and install it onto
the arbour (5) and against the blade. (Fig. J)
6. Thread the arbour nut (3) onto the arbour, making
sure the flat side of the nut is against the blade, then
hand-tighten.
7. Pull the motor locking lever (8) toward the front of
the machine while spinning the blade until the latch
locks into place and the blade will no longer turn.

8. Place the wrench (9) on the arbour nut and turn
clockwise (toward the rear of the saw table).
9. Lower the blade to its minimum height position and
place insert (1) into position. (Fig. I)
REMOVING THE BLADE (FIG. K)
To avoid injury from an accidental start, make sure
the switch is in the OFF position and the plug is
disconnected from the power source outlet.
1. Remove the table insert and raise the blade to the
maximum height by turning the blade elevation
handwheel clockwise.
2. Lift the blade guard and position it toward the rear of
the table.
3. Adjust the blade to the 90° vertical position by
unlocking the blade tilting lock knob and then lock
into position.
4. Pull the motor locking lever (8) toward the front of
the tool while spinning the blade until the latch locks
into place and the blade will no longer turn.
5. Place the blade wrench (9) on the arbour nut (3).
6. Loosen and remove the arbour nut (3) and the
flange (4) by pulling the wrench towards the front of
the machine.
7. Then remove the blade (7). Clean but do not remove
the inner blade flange (4) before reassembling the
blade.
4. Attach the rubber pad (5) from hardware bag #C, to
the inside of the rear table extension (1). Thread the
screw (6) thru the rubber pad with the screwdriver.
Tighten the screw (6).
5. Snap two black plastic stops (4) over the end of
the rear table extension tubes (2). Make sure the
locating pin in the location seats fit into the matching
holes in the extension tubes.
INSTALLING THE BLADE (FIG. I, J, K)
To avoid injury from an accidental start, make sure
the switch is in the OFF position and the plug is not
connected to the power source outlet.
NOTE:
The saw blade is packed in the blade storage
located on the left side of base
1. Remove the table insert (1) by snapping out from
the hole (2). Raise the blade arbour to the maximum
height by turning the blade elevation handwheel
clockwise. (Fig. I)
2. Remove the arbour nut (3) and outer blade flange (4).
(Fig. J)
NOTE:
Leave the plastic strip around the saw blade at
this time. Remove before using the saw for the first time.
3. Place the blade (7) onto the arbour (5) with the blade
teeth pointing forward to the front of the saw. (Fig. J)
4. Make sure the blade fits flush against the inner
flange (6).
