Thread the cable ends into the ball link on the control
horn 10 turns. Prepare both control horns at this time.

inch (32mm) from the surface of the rudder. Position the
screws in the control horn toward the top of the rudder.
Make sure both control horns are positioned equally to
prevent uneven loads on the rudder servo.

Attach the rudder to the fi n using the hinge wire. Start
the wire in the bottom hinge by hand.

Attach a drill to the wire, then use the drill to install the
wire through the remaining hinges. Use the lowest speed
on the drill to install the hinge wire.
12.
Complete the hinge wire installation by inserting the wire
so only 1/2-inch (13mm) of the wire protrudes beyond
the bottom of the rudder.
RUDDER SERVO INSTALLATION
1.
Mount the rudder servo in the radio tray with the output
of the servo facing the rear of the fuselage. The holes for
mounting the servo will need to be prepared following
the same procedure as the aileron servo mounting holes.

Steps 2 and 3 do not show the rudder for clarity.

Slide the sleeve on the end of the cable, then through the
hole in the fi tting at the rudder.
3.
Pass the cable back through the sleeve. Use crimping
pliers to secure the sleeve to the cable. Prepare each of
the cables for the rudder control horn at this time.
4.
Insert the cable into the tube in the fuselage forward of
the control horn and into the fuselage.
5.
Thread the cable ends into the ball link 10 turns. Prepare
both ball ends at this time.
