119.
Apply epoxy to the exposed wood on the bottom and front of
the fi n where it comes in contacts the fuselage.
120.
Fit the fi n in position. Check that it is square to the fuselage.
Use tape to hold the fi n in position until the epoxy fully cures.
Check the position of the fi n to make sure it is still square to
the stabilizer while the epoxy is curing.
RUDDER INSTALLATION
121.
Prepare the hinges slots and hinges as outlined in the aileron
installation section of this manual. Slide the hinges into
position with the T-pins resting on the leading edge of the
control surface.
122.
Fit the rudder to the fi n. Align the rudder to the fi n so it can
move freely without interference. Glue the hinges following
the procedure outlined earlier for the aileron hinges.
124.
Install the rudder and elevator servos in the fuselage with the
servo output towards the front of the fuselage. Make sure to
prepare the holes as outlined in the aileron servo installation
section of this manual.
125.
Remove the clevis from one end of the 24

rudder pushrod. Slide the pushrod into the pushrod tube that
is associated with the rudder control horn.
127.
The white rudder control horn can now be secured to the
rudder using 15-minute epoxy. Position the rudder control
horn so it is angled down toward the bottom of the fuselage
and aligned with the rudder pushrod. Use the control horn
installation outlined for the aileron control horns when
installing this control horn.
Check the operation of the rudder to make sure the
rudder control horn does not contact the fuselage.
Make sure the epoxy has fully cured
before proceeding to the next step.
RUDDER AND ELEVATOR SERVO INSTALLATION
123.
Install the grommets and eyelets in the servos. Follow any
instructions included with the servo. Prepare both elevator
and rudder servos.
126.
Center the rudder servo using the radio system. Place the
servo arm on the servo so it is 90-degrees to the rudder
pushrod. Attach the clevis to the servo arm 25/32-inch
(20mm) from the center of the servo arm.
Do not secure the rudder servo arm as it will need
to be removed to install the tail wheel linkage.
