PRE-INSTALLATION PLANNING
BEFORE YOU BEGIN
Thank you for purchasing the Halcyon Gas Fireplace by European Home.
Please read this manual thoroughly before beginning the installation of your Halcyon Gas Fireplace. It has information which is
important for safe, trouble-free installation and operation.
Your Halcyon Gas Fireplace will arrive in two packages; the cabinet - including the burner and glass panel assembly - on a pallet,
and a carton with everything else. Please inspect your shipment for completeness and any damage. Contact your retailer if any
damage is found. Do not install your Halcyon Gas Fireplace with any damaged or substituted parts.
The installation of your new Fireplace will follow the steps below and this Manual is laid out accordingly.

- 8” direct vent pipe, adjustment and termination

First Fire
- Check for proper operation and burn-in

Fine Tuning
- Electrical check, gas check and pressure tests, draft adjustment

Final Installation
- Wall, mantel and non-combustible facing
Before you begin your installation you should have the

Tape measure and framing square

Electric drill and assortment of drill bits

Safety glasses and gloves

Framing material

Non-combustible finish material

Approved pipe joint sealant
•
Manometer
•
#6 or #8 self-tapping screws, ½” - 3/4” long
•
Leak detection fluid (non-corrosive) or electronic gas
detector
•
14/2 NM electrical wire and wire nuts
•
Two 15A 120V single pole toggle switches
•
Appropriate venting components
•
Appropriate gas supply line parts
