INSTALLATION
The Rough Installation portion of your project includes placing the cabinet, connecting the gas and making the electrical connections.
The following steps provide the detail.
1. REMOVE THE GLASS PANEL ASSEMBLY
The glass panel is fastened to the cabinet at the factory and should be removed and placed in a safe location to avoid damage.
See Section 8 (INSTALL THE GLASS PANEL ASSEMBLY
)
for details. Due to the size and weight of the glass panel assembly, the
assistance of a helper is recommended.
TO USE LP GAS, CONVERT THE HALCYON GAS FIREPLACE NOW USING ONLY THE H50-SA-LPCK-01 LP GAS CONVERSION KIT.
The H50-SA-LPCK-01 LP Gas Conversion Kit is sold separately. See Appendix A for complete conversion instructions.

Check the VENTING section now to determine if your installation requires the Horizontal Heat Shield. If required, install it now.

2. INSTALL THE RELIEF DOORS
a. When shipped, four relief doors are
not
installed and
must be installed on the top of the firebox prior to installation.
These four
relief doors include gasket material that covers the full bottom surface. Use care in handling the relief doors to avoid damage
to the gasket material.
b. The relief openings are located behind the left and right access doors mounted on the front of the Halcyon Gas Fireplace.
Using the finger hole, slide the door left or right the door as appropriate.
