EMOVAL

Warning: Tension on the link assembly may cause it to spring forward when
released. Never place head or other body parts in front of link assembly during
removal or injury could occur.

Figure 6-2, Link Assembly Removal and Installation

1.

Remove the link assembly by detaching the shoulder bolt that secures the 
Link M to the Crank M.

Note:  The threads on the shoulder bolt are left-handed.

2.

Remove the two nuts and lock washers that secure the link assembly to 
the sides of the base. Remove the washers from the left side and retain for 
use.

Caution: 

 Nylon washers must be replaced on the 

left

 side only.

3.

Gently pull the link assembly away from the shaft and remove.
