Clamp Body Boss Replacement 11-3

Warning: Wear protective gloves and eye protection when using chemicals or
adhesives, and dispose of all waste materials in properly marked containers.
Warning: Read and observe all safety information and precautions on the labels
of the adhesives and accelerators prior to use in the following procedures.
6. Apply Loctite
®
3412 adhesive to the inside of the Shaker in the area the
clamp body boss is to be installed, and to the outside of the clamp body
boss in the area of attachment without allowing adhesive to collect in the
area between the clamp body boss and clamp body.
7. Position boss in its proper location, noting the location of its screw hole
in relation to the other bosses.
8. Install and tighten the remaining screws to hold the clamp body in place
until the adhesive is dry (10 minutes minimum).
9. Remove the screws holding the clamp body in place and clean all of the
Dow Corning
®
55 from the clamp body and Shaker neck using Q-tips
®
and paper towels moistened with alcohol. Dispose of all cleaning materi-
als in properly marked containers.
Caution: Failure to remove all of the Dow Corning 55 may result in a discolor-
ation of the clamp body or Shaker neck.
10. Reinstall the clamp body in the Shaker neck.
