3.4

Relay contacts

The controller has 3 floating relay contacts for up to max. 250 V AC, 50-60 Hz, 5 A
or max. 30 V DC, 5 A. The operation of the relay contacts is described in Sec. 5.8.

3.4.1 Connecting relay contacts

Note: All information on relay
contacts relates only to ohmic
loads. The user must limit the
current to 5 A using external
protection.

The terminals for the relay changeover contacts are designed for cable cross-
sections from 0.8 to 3 mm

The terminals are designed for the connection of a single wire. Never connect several wires
to one terminal.

The NO (Normally Open) and COM (Common) connections are connected
together if there is no alarm or other condition.

The NC (Normally Closed) and COM (Common) connections are connected
together if there is an alarm or other condition. This also occurs in the case of a
power failure.
