II. End to end mode
In the voice network that is set up using VG 10-10/10-11, you can manage the voice
calls without using GK; instead, you can make calls by dialing the IP address of the
voice gateway.
In this networking mode, you have to disable the GK client function, restart the voice
gateway and dial the IP address of the called voice gateway to make calls. Figure 4-4
shows the page after the GK client function is disabled. The IP address is in dotted
decimal notation. Dial the "*” key instead of “.” on the phone set. For example, if the IP
address of the called voice gateway is “192.168.80.1”, you need to dial the keys
“192*168*80*1” on the phone set.
Caution:
When dialing the IP address of the called gateway, you cannot dial “*” as the dial
terminator. Refer to 4.3.1 for detailed operation on the dial terminator.

4.2.3 Modifying User Password
For network security, change the password immediately after you log into the voice
gateway and safeguard the new password. After changing the password, click
“Confirm” to make the new password take effect.
The user password can contain 0 to 31 characters, among which the space, question
mark and double-byte characters (Chinese character for example) are excluded.
