Chapter 3 Web Configuration Guide
VG 10-10/10-11 provides Web-based configuration page as the VG management
interface. You can configure the VG as needed.

3.1 Configuration Preparation
Before logging on the VG Web configuration page, you have to meet the following
requirements after completing the hardware installation.
3.1.1 System Requirements

The Ethernet card is installed on PC.
z
The operating system is Windows 98/ME/NT/2000/XP.
z
The Web browser (Microsoft IE 6.0 or later) is installed on PC.
z
TCP/IP protocol is enabled
3.1.2 Network Configuration Requirements
The initial IP address of Ethernet port on VG 10-10/10-11 is 192.168.1.1 and the subnet
mask is 255.255.255.0. Before accessing the configuration page, configure the IP
address of PC to be in the same subnet with VG 10-10/10-11.
3.1.3 Checking Proxy Server
Do not use the proxy server to access the Internet. Take the following steps to disable
the proxy server.
1) Select [Tools -> Internet Options] in the Internet Explorer to enter the [Internet
Options] window

Select “Connections” tab and then click <LAN Settings>.

Remove the tick from the “Use a proxy server” check box and then click <OK>.
3.1.4 Setting Temporary Internet Files
Open the Internet Explorer and set the “Check for newer versions of stored pages“ to
“Every visit to the page“ in the [Tools -> Internet Options -> General -> Temporary
Internet files -> Settings] to ensure timely update of the Web page.
