This means the HIM has been successfully installed.
8) If the router does not recognize the HIM or if the HIM installation failed, the
following information appears on the terminal screen:

The device supports hot-swapping of HIMs.

When installing an HIM, use uniform force and keep the HIM in the horizontal
position to avoid damage to components on the card.
8.9.2 Removing an HIM
Caution:

Be sure to run the
remove slot
slotnumber
subslot
subslot-number
command
before removing an HIM while the router is operating.
z
If you have run this command but do not want to remove the HIM, you can use the
undo remove
slot
command to revert the operation.
z
It is unnecessary to run the
undo remove
slot
command after you remove an HIM
and insert it again.
Follow these steps to remove an HIM:
1)
Face the front panel of the router.
2)
Locate the HIM to be removed.
3)
Loosen the four captive screws on the HIM by turning them counterclockwise with
a flat-blade screwdriver.
