Enable the FTP server function.
local-user guest
Create a local user, and enter user view.
service-type ftp
Set the service type that can be used locally to FTP.
password simple 123456
Configure the user password.
level 3
Set the user level to 3.

The FTP service is enabled after the authentication and authorization of the FTP
server are configured. The FTP server supports multi-client access. A remote FTP
client sends a request to the FTP server. The FTP server executes an action
accordingly and returns the execution result to the client.

After you configure the FTP server authentication and authorization, you need to set
the user level to 3. Otherwise, when you restore the backed-up file to the router, the
system will prompt that “You have no rights to store files”. For configurations of user

Enable the FTP client program on the PC.
In the following example, the FTP client program is the built-in Windows XP FTP client:
