Safety Instructions
To be safe at working with this chainsaw, it is re-
quired that instructions and information on safety,
installation, and operation contained in the manual
are precisely observed. Any person engaged in the
operation or maintenance of the machine should be
knowledgeable regarding the operation manual and
aware of any potential risk. Prevent children, the
sick, and the infirm from access. While you are in the
working area, look after the children very carefully.
Observe any regional and local safety precautions
applicable in your place. The same applies to any
provisions on the safety at work and health protec-
tion in the work site..
The manufacturer shall not be held liable if the
machines it manufactures are altered in an unau-
thorised manner, in result of which damage was
inflicted.
Warning!
It is necessary to observe the essential
safety precautions when using the machine tools.
Kindly follow the tips and instructions in the addi-
tional safety precautions.
1.
Keep watch of conditions of the environment
you work in.
Having been started, the engine
unit will start to produce toxic spent gases. The
gases may be odourless and invisible. There-
fore, the unit may never be operated in closed or
poorly ventilated rooms. Provide for good light-
ing when cutting. If you cut in moisture, on the
snow or ice on slopes or an uneven ground,
make sure that your stability is good.
2.
Do not let any unauthorised persons ap-
proach the machine.
The visitors and viewers,
primarily the children, the ill and infirm persons
should not have any access to the working area.
Prevent other persons from any contact with the
machine.
3.
Make provision for the tools storage.
The
machines not in current use should be kept in a
dry place, elevated or locked where practicable
so that any access to them is prevented.
4.
Always use a correct tool for the job to be
done.
E.g. avoid using small tools and accesso-
ries for work that should be actually done with a
heavy tool. Use the tools only for the purposes
they were designed for.
5.
Pay attention to adequate clothing.
The
clothing should fit the purpose and should not
put any limits to you when working. Wear cloth-
ing with stiffener protecting against cuts.
6.
Use personal protection equipment.
Wear
safety shoes with steel toes/ steel or rough sole.
7.
Wear a hard hat.
Things may fall down or
spring up against you.
8.
Wear ear protectors.
Wear personal protective
equipment to protect your ears, such as ear
protectors.
9.
Hand protection.
Wear hard gloves – gloves of
chrome tanned side leather give a good protec-
tion.
10.
Saw transportation.
Always transport the
chainsaw with the chain protected and the chain
brake lever locked up. When putting the power
saw aside, be careful to threaten anybody. Se-
cure the machine against rollover, damage, and
fuel leakage.
11.
Remove the wrench etc.
Any
wrenches/spanners
used for the chain replace-
ment etc. must be removed before the saw is
put on.
12.
Be attentive any time. Mind what you are
doing.
Use common sense. Do not use the saw
when tired. Never work with the power saw
when influence by alcohol, drugs, or medica-
ments affecting the concentration capability.
13.
Fuel and Chain Lubricating Oil Replenish-
ment.
Always switch the engine off before filling
up. Open the tank cap careful so that any over-
pressure may be let out and the fuel does not
splash out. High temperatures build up on the
machine body when working with the chain saw.
Therefore, leave the saw to cool down before
filling up the fuel. Otherwise, the fuel could ignite
spontaneously and there is a risk of personal
burns. Replenishing the fuel and chain oil, mind
to not overfill the tank. If the fuel drips off, it
should be removed immediately and the ma-
chine cleaned. When the filling is completed,
check the screw after filling up, check screw clo-
sure for the firm fit to prevent loosening at work
because of vibrations.
14.
Time of Use and Breaks for Rest.
After using
the power machine for a longer time, you may
have troubles with the capillary return in hands.
However, you may prolong the time of use when
