Before the pump is put in operation, check the electrical cable
and the socket for damages.
The pump has to be plugged out before doing any work on
it.
If the pump is closed in a gully, it should be covered up with
a lid to provide for the safety of walkers.
Avoid installing the pump in wet shafts (risk of short
circuit, corrosion effects)!
To stop or prevent damages (such as flooding of a
room etc. in result of imperfect operation of the pump
(due to faults or other defects) the owner (user) is
obliged to take appropriate safety measures (assembly
of alarm device, backup pump and more).
In case of a failure, the repair should be done by an
authorised servicing shop. Only genuine spare parts must
be used.
It should be pointed out that, according to effective
standards, we should not be held liable for any
damages that could be caused by our tools in cases
shown below.
Unprofessional repairs not done by an authorised servicing
shop.
Use for another purpose or not assigned use.
Overloading of the pump due to continuous operating.
Heat overloading protection
There is a probe fitted inside the motor that will switch the
pump off automatically with exceeding a temperature and
switch it on again after the motor gets cooled. That will
multiple the service life of the pump and prevents a heat
damage of the motor.
Heat overloading protection motor switch
Cooling time is about 25 minutes, then the pump will switch
on automatically. Avoid any hazardous situations resulting
from automatic switching. If the motor switch gets off or on,
it is necessary to find and the cause and remove it (see also
search for fault). The data shown here should not be
considered instructions for repairing at home as the
repairman’s work requires specific expert knowledge.
Consult the customer service at any possible fault.
To prevent the pump from overheating, take care of
sufficient air supply!
Do not cover the pump up and do not install it in narrow
or wet shafts!
Operation
Venting
After blowing off any closed air, release air-escape screw
(Fig. A; item 2)
Water Drainage
To empty the pump completely, release the water drainage
screw. (Fig. A; item 4)
Operator Safety Instructions
Read the operating manual carefully before use of the unit..
Observe any safety instructions shown in the manual. Be
responsible to the others.
Step-by-step instructions
•
Connect the suction line to a respective connection
of the line by a back valve (foot valve). ALWAYS seal
all the screwed connections with a packing tape.
•
To fill the pump, remove the de-aerating screw in the
rear and on the connection of the pressure piping.
(Fig. A; items 2 and 1). Fill the unit until the water
reaches from the de-aerating hole (D)
•
Pack the de-aerating screw and screw it again.
Afterwards, seal the pressure piping on the pressure
piping connection and connect it airtight.
•
Connect the pump to the mains.
Caution: Carefully screw in the respective
thread at installation of suction and pressure line so
that any damage by tearing of the pump body is
avoided!
Caution: Carefully pack the threaded
connections and the vacuum filling (B and D) of the
suction system - (suction hose and pump body) to
avoid failing attempts of pumping!
Check the tightness of the foot valve (C). Fill the system
according to instructions (B) and before putting it in
operation, pull the suction hose from the medium to be
transported - The liquid should not escape from the
suction hose!
Caution: Standing water may corrode
(brownish colour) in the pump according to structure.
