If the coupling and drive unit are not supplied by Grundfos, make
sure to follow the coupling manufacturer’s instructions.
10.5.2 Pump with diesel engine
A flexible coupling connects engine and pump. See fig. 16.

The coupling is bolted axially on the engine fly-wheel. The pump
shaft is pushed on axially and bolted radially with four bolts.

the inaccuracy, if any,
with a feeler gauge.

Turn the coupling by 90 °
and repeat the
measurement with a
straight edge ruler and
feeler gauge. If the
measurement for S1 is
less than 0.2 mm, then
the alignment is
complete. A slightly
larger gap is acceptable
as the pump set is not
intended for continuous
operation. Go to step 8.
