The display indicates the minutes. If no change is required, continue
with 9.
6. Press „Program“ key (1) to open the menu.
7. When the display is blinking, increase or decrease the values with
keys (3) resp. (2).
8. As soon as the correct value is set, press key (1).
The blinking display changes to a permanent display.
9. Press „Info“ key (3) to switch to the next menu.

The display indicates the stored raw water hardness. Enter the actual
raw water hardness at the installation site. You can either determine
the hardness by means of the water test kit “Total Hardness” or in-
quire at your local waterworks.
10. Enter the corresponding value. In order to do this, repeat steps
6. – 8. accordingly.
11. Press „Info“ key (3) and „Hand Reg.“ key (2) simultaneously
to switch back to the basic display.
The display indicates the current time.
Note:
The following indication does not occur in the standard settings
of the VGX series. If the system is operated with a pulser provided by
others on site, the soft water hardness must be programmed subject
of the installation site (upstream or downstream of the soft water
hardness).

The display indicates the menu item „Weichwasserhärte – soft water
hardness). In case of systems without blending valve or with a turbine
water meter installed upstream of the blending valve, 0 °dH (0 °f, 0
mmol/l) has to entered here. In all other cases, the soft water hard-
ness which is given by the blending valve has to be set (between 0
°dH (0 °f, 0 mmol/l) and raw water hardness). When softening drink-
ing water (raw water), the stipulations of the German Drinking Water
Ordinance must be observed (also refer to chapter E).
12.Enter the correct value. To do so, repeat steps 6 – 8 accordingly.
13.Press keys „Info“ (3) and „Hand Reg.“ (2) simultaneously to
switch to the basic setting.
The display now indicates the current time.
