5. Does the

911 Emergency Phone Base Unit charge my
Handset?
No, the Base Unit is NOT a charger and will not charge the batteries in your
Handset. Your Handset uses two non-rechargeable AAA alkaline batteries.
4. How do I Link additional
JUST IN CASE
TM
911 Emergency Phone Handsets
to the Base Unit?
To LINK additional Handsets to the Base Unit complete the following steps:
1. Press and hold the LINK button on the Base Unit for two seconds.
2. The LINK LED light located above the LINK button will begin to blink.
3. Release the LINK button.
4. Press and hold the TEST button on the additional Handset until you feel
and hear a “click.” Continue to hold for 2 seconds.
5. If the LINK is successful:
(a) The Signal Test LED light on the Handset will
BLINK GREEN.
(b) You will hear an audio message “This Handset is now properly linked
to the Base.”’

6. Can I use the
JUST IN CASE
TM
911 Emergency Phone outside?
Yes, you can take your Handset outside. However, do NOT expose your
Handset to extreme heat or cold, as you may damage the Handset. Do
NOT expose your Handset to ice, wind and precipitation (including but not
limited to rain and snow). ALWAYS TEST your Handset for signal strength
when relocating it outside. See page 27 for testing procedures.
Do NOT locate your Base Unit outside. DO NOT leave your Handset outside.
