3.6 Linking Additional Handsets
The
JUST IN CASE
TM
911 Emergency Phone Core Unit includes one Handset
which is pre-linked to the Base Unit at the factory, so you do not need to LINK
this Handset. However, if you would like to place more than one Handset in
your home, the Base Unit can be LINKED to four additional Handsets (five total).
Having more than one Handset in your home and placing them in locations
where accidents frequently occur, will allow you to call for help more quickly
when and where you need it. This section will provide you with information
and instructions for LINKING additional Handsets to the Base Unit.
To LINK additional Handsets to the Base Unit
complete the following steps:
1. Press and hold the LINK button on the Base
Unit for two seconds.
2. The Green LINK LED Light located above
the LINK button will begin to blink.
3. Release the LINK button.
4. Press and hold the TEST button on the
additional Handset until you feel and hear
a “click.” Continue to hold for 2 seconds.
5. If the LINK is successful:
(a) The Signal Test LED light on the Handset
will
BLINK GREEN.
(b) You will hear an audio message “This
Handset is now properly linked to the
Base.”
6. If the LINK is unsuccessful:
(a) The Signal Test LED light on the Handset will NOT light up.
(b) There will NOT be an audio message.
(c) Repeat steps 1- 4 above to retry to LINK your Handset to the Base.
