fuselage former using a few drops of cyano, working through the rear fuselage opening. Take care that no glue gets
into the end of the tube. Withdraw the elevator pushrod again when the glue has set hard. Remove the covering film
over the slots and the joint surfaces for the tailplane, and screw the wing to the fuselage using the two M4 x 30 mm
nylon screws supplied. This is essential, as it enables you to check the exact location of the tailplane.
Glue the tailplane to the fuselage using UHU plus schnellfest, and fix it temporarily with a few modelling pins. Check
alignment by fitting the fin “dry” (no glue), and sight over the tailplane from above and from the front to check correct
alignment. Allow the glue to set hard, then glue the fin in place using cyano, taking care to set it exactly vertical.
The picture shows the tailplane and fin glued in place, with the fin strake ready for fitting (cyano). The elevator and
rudder are attached to the tailplane and fin using hinge tape.
Drill a 3.0 mm Ø hole in the elevator and rudder. Connect the horns to the steel wire pushrods and glue the horns in
the holes. The guide tube for the rudder pushrod can now be glued to the fuselage.
The photo shows the parts required to prepare the elevator servo. Cut down the servo output device as shown, and
drill out the linkage hole to 2.1 mm Ø. Attach the swivel pushrod connector to the servo output arm using the M2 self-
locking nut supplied. The rudder servo on the right of the picture is prepared for installation.
Caution:
set the servo to
centre before screwing the servo output arm to the output shaft.
