PROFITEST 204+ Basic Instrument
Test Sequence
The stopwatch is displayed during protective conductor measurement.
The falling voltage value is continuously displayed until residual voltage
has reached a value of less than 60 V.
All-clear signal after insulation testing:
Voltage at test probe is less than 25 V or 60 V, depending on measuring
function.
The test was passed.
Test results are not within allowable limit values.
LCD is not illuminated
– Power cable not plugged in
– Mains fuse is blown
– Plug in power cable, see chapter 3.3, page 17
– Replace mains fuse, see chapter 11.1.1, page 66
Protective conductor and insulation
measurement cannot be performed
– Fuse integrated into test probe is blown
– Replace fuse in test probe, see chapter 11.1.2, page 66
Continuous operation during protective conductor test
Allow instrument to cool for approximately 10 minutes
Indicates type of voltage applied:
alternating voltage superimposed with direct voltage – direct voltage –
alternating voltage
Protective conductor and insulation measurements:
Interference voltage is present at the test probes and the measurement
will be aborted.
If protective conductor testing is started with an interrupted protective
conductor, a voltage may be induced capacitively.
This voltage is recognized as an interference voltage by the instrument .
