1 A Novel Concept of Operation
The NFA 1000 requires very few settings and in the background condenses hun-
dreds of thousands of pieces of information per second. This enables you to have
the most important parameters at one glance in the process of measuring.
If desired it records all relevant measured data and settings simultaneously and con-
tinuously on a standard SD memory card,
with audio notes dictated live
linked to the
data. With minimum effort you will have the biggest data base for a later analysis on
the PC.
This leaves you with more time for the essential task:
The best possible consultancy for your customer.
The included PC software “NFAsoft” needs no installation. A few mouse-clicks and
you have all essential observations at hand.
To get going is rather simple: Select the type of field and set all other switches in top
position. The LED indicators are self explanatory, and the instrument ‘thinks’, recog-
nizes probes connected to it and alerts you in case of technically meaningless set-
tings.
To exploit the full potential of the NFA and of NFAsoft, however, the time to study
the detailed manual is well spent.

Note
The Firmware of the NFA will be continuously improved. You can
download the latest version from our homepage and store it on the
NFA’s SD-Card. Upon the next start the NFA
will use it automatically.
Features not yet implemented, but to be realised soon, are printed
in GRAY in this manual.
