3-4.2.3 Re place ment of Ear phone Holder

1 Ear phone Holder 79C4401-1
To re place an ear phone holder, pro ceed as fol lows:
1. Re move the earcup as sem bly from the pile fas tener on the in side of the
hel met shell.
2. Re ferring to Fig ure 3-7, re move the earseal by care fully stretch ing it away from the
lip of the earcup shell.
3. Re move the ear phone holder from the earcup shell and the ear phone from the
ear phone holder.
4. Re place the ear phone holder.
5. Insert the ear phone into the re place ment ear phone holder.
6. With the slot open ing po si tioned
to ward the earcup grom met,
in sert the ear phone holder with
the en closed ear phone into the
hel met shell. Smooth the
ear phone holder in side the
earcup to elim i nate bunch ing.
7. Re in stall the earseal by care fully
stretch ing it over the lip of the
earcup shell.
8. Re at tach the earcup as sem bly to
the pile fas tener on the in side of
the hel met shell.
9. Check the earseal com pres sion.
If nec es sary, in stall earcup
spacer pads in ac cor dance with
Para graph 2-2.
