on the system “Auto Gate Setting” setting (see “settings” section).    

Note:  All test results are 

ultimately based on the gating of the raw data displays.  Even with the simplified tests, the user 
always has the option to view/review the raw data and adjust the gates if needed.

 

The raw data can be displayed in two main formats:  1.). Histograms (one channel display – 
either size or PIN Diode fluorescence) – Values for each event are binned across a 1000 point 
histogram and displayed.  2)  Fluorescence vs. Size scatter plots (all fluorescent assays) – For 
each event, the recorded PIN diode millivolt level (range 0-10,000mv, corresponding to 
fluorescence intensity on that channel) is plotted against the recorded cell size (effective 
diameter in microns).   

Detailed labeling for each of the two types of display are provided on the two pages/images 
below.  After that, an explanation of how to read the key statistics (e.g. counts, sizes, and 
percentages) from those data displays is provided.
