ADV100 • Functions description and parameters list
During the direct current injection phase the kinetic energy of the motor is dissipated as heat in the motor.
The following parameters allow complete control of the function.

22.2.1 3150 DC braking cmd src

This parameter is used to select the origin (source) of the
DC braking cmd
signal. The signal to be associated with
this function can be selected from the “L_DIGSEL2” selection list.
If the command is activated (=1) DC braking is enabled.
In the default condition the origin of the
DC braking cmd
signal is 6000 (disabled).

Example:
With the motor running at any speed, when the stop command is enabled the ramp output decreases according to
the selected ramp time. When the speed reference threshold = zero is reached PAR

Example:
Motor running driven by load. When the drive is enabled and the
DC braking cmd
is sent the direct current injec-
tion phase is activated. When the command is enabled and after the delay configured in PAR
3154 DC brake delay

is used to configure the duration of the injection phase
and PAR
3158 DC brake current
is used to configure the intensity of the injection phase current.
If the command is an impulse shorter than the time set with PAR

tion phase continues at least for the time set in parameter
3156 DC brake duration
.
If the command is an impulse longer than the time set with
3156 DC brake duration
, the direct current injection
phase continues for as long as the command is present.
In
“OnCmd & AtStop”
modes the direct current injection phase is executed when one of the two conditions de-
scribed in the
“At Stop”

modes is present.

This parameter is used to configure the delay in seconds between the moment DC braking is requested and the mo-
ment direct current injection starts. This delay enables the motor to demagnetise, and thus avoid an overcurrent due
to the electromotive force of the motor (e.f.m.).
The value of this parameter, added to parameter 3156
