• Lubricate the inside of the grip lightly with brake cleaner. It will dry off quickly. But, as already
mentioned, brake cleaner is not suitable for sponge or foam rubber grips.
You can use a dual-component special adhesive (available separately) from the Louis
range if you want to make sure the grips are permanently secure. If you do so, you must
bear in mind that it will not be possible to re-use the grips if you remove them at a later
date.
To conclude, fit the instrument cluster housings and, if available, the bar ends or the supplied sealing
plugs to the handlebars. Before riding your motorcycle, check again that the grips are firmly seated
on the handlebars and the throttle twistgrip can rotate freely and springs back automatically when
you release it. Otherwise, the instrument cluster and/or the bar end may have to be moved slightly.
5 | Storage
Before the gazzini Grips are installed, store them in a place that is protected from the weather and
direct sunlight. The air humidity should not exceed 80%.
6 | Cleaning and care
Proper care of your grips will extend their service life and keep them looking good. Long exposure to
sunlight can age the rubber. This can cause surface abrasion to rub off on your hands or gloves over
time. Therefore, clean the grips regularly with warm, mild soapy water or a motorbike cleaner and a
lint-free, non-scratch cloth.

Fault
Possible causes and remedies
Grips will not slide onto the
handlebar.
You may have ordered the wrong grip diameter for your handlebars –
Please check the dimensions.
You cannot slide the grip
onto the throttle tube.
Check whether the correct grip is being used: the right grip has a
larger inside diameter than the left grip.
The grips can be rotated
on the handlebar or throttle
twistgrip.
Make sure there is no grease residue between the handlebars and the
grip. Clean both parts carefully with brake cleaner as necessary. If
necessary, use dual-component special adhesive to secure the grips.
