5. If there are stubborn residues of fibrous food sticking to the parts, you may soak the
parts of the jar in warm dishwater for 10 minutes, before removing the residues.
6. Thoroughly wipe dry all parts. Then leave the parts dry naturally for approx. 1 hour,
where they are
out of reach of children younger than 8 years and animals
.
CLEANING THE MOTOR BASE
WARNING
– Always unplug the motor base and remove the jar before
cleaning to avoid an electrical hazard. Do not clean the motor base or power cord
in an automatic dishwasher. Do not place or immerse the motor base or power
cord in any liquids or spill any liquids on the motor base or power cord.
1. Switch off and unplug the appliance. Remove the jar (see: ‘Operation / After
Processing’).
2. Wipe the motor base and power cord with a slightly damp and not dripping cloth.
3. Polish via a soft dry cloth.
AFTER CLEANING – REASSEMBLING THE JAR
4. Place the glass body on a stable surface with the large opening facing downwards.
5. Ensure that the sealing surfaces of the blade assembly, sealing ring, glass body
are completely clean and undamaged.
6. Place the sealing ring onto the sealing surface at the rim of the glass body. Then,
holding the sealing ring in place by its rim, carefully insert the blades into the
glass body.
CAUTION
– Ensure that the threads of the glass body and sealing screw
are not tilted. Do not use any tools for turning on the sealing screw to avoid dama-
ge. The sealing screw must be fixed firmly but may not be over-tightened.
7. Place the sealing screw onto the glass body and turn it clockwise until it is fixed tight.
8. If required, insert the gasket into the groove at the rim of the lid and place the
lid onto the jar. Press the lid slightly down for engaging it.
