ADDING INGREDIENTS WHILE THE MOTOR IS RUNNING
CAUTION
– If your recipe requires adding ingredients, while the motor is
running (e.g. for emulsifying), always expect that liquids and solid parts of your
food will be hurled out at the central opening of the lid.
Do not hold your face,
hands or any delicate object near the central opening.
Ensure to adhere strictly
to the following instructions. Please keep in mind that the appliance may not ope-
rate continuously for more than 2 minutes. In time, make breaks of at least 1 minu-
te.
Do not add solid ingredients, while the motor is running.
1. Fill the jar with 500 - 1000 ml. It is crucial to keep this range for avoiding exces-
sive splashing.
2. If you wish to purée solid types of food: With the measuring cup closing the
central opening of the lid, first process the mixture until it is smooth (see above:
‘Processing Your Food’).
3. Select the desired speed setting (“1” or “2”) and wait until a vortex is build in
the jar.
4. Remove the measuring cup and slowly add the ingredients via the central ope-
ning in the lid. Thereafter, close the central opening again. Process the mixture
until it is smooth again.
5. If required, repeat steps 3 and 4. Then switch off the motor (position “0”).
AFTER PROCESSING
CAUTION
–
Do not leave the appliance unattended, while it is connected
to the power supply.
Always unplug the appliance, before removing, emptying,
and cleaning any parts, and when the appliance is not in use.
Do not attempt to
remove the lid with violence.
Unlock the lid, before removing it.
1. Switch off the appliance (rotary switch to “0”) and unplug the motor base.
2. Take the jar off the motor base by simply moving it up. Press the red opening but-
ton at the handle of the jar for unlocking the lid. Then remove the lid from the jar.
3. Completely empty the jar. After processing solid or glutinous food, ensure that
you do not damage the blades, when spooning out the food. Only use wooden
or plastic cooking utensils. Immediately after emptying, rinse the jar with clear
tap water for removing coarse residues.
4. Clean the parts coming in contact with food immediately after usage. Depending
on the types of food you have processed, you may use the self-cleaning feature
