NOTE

In general, avoid to leave any food dry on or go bad in the jar. Do not store food

in the jar. Jar, lid, gasket, blade assembly, and sealing ring may be cleaned in

an automatic dishwasher. Ensure that the seals (gasket, sealing ring) do not get

lost or damaged.

USING THE SELF-CLEANING FEATURE

If you have processed very runny food (e.g. beverages), you may clean jar, lid, and

blade assembly effortlessly, via running the appliance with some lukewarm dishwa-

ter. Just proceed according to the following instructions.

NOTE

Fibrous types of ingredients (e.g. celery, mangoes) may leave stubborn residues on

the blades. In this case, you should disassemble the jar and clean the removable

parts separately (see below: ‘Cleaning the Removable Parts Separately’).

CAUTION

– Do not fill more than 1 litre (1000 ml) of dishwater into the jar

to avoid frothing over.

Do not fill in hot liquids.

The dishwater for cleaning may

be lukewarm.

1. Switch off and unplug the appliance. Remove the jar (see: ‘Operation / After

Processing’). Empty and rinse the jar for removing any coarse residues of food.

2. Fill the jar with 750-1000 ml lukewarm dishwater and close it with the lid and

measuring cup. Ensure that the exterior of the jar is completely clean and dry

and the jar is leak-free. Then place the jar onto the motor block (see: ‘Operation

/ Getting Ready for Operation’).

3. Insert the power plug into the power outlet. Operate the appliance in several short

pulses (rotary switch to “P” and back; see: ‘Operation / Processing Your Food’).

Thereafter, let the appliance run for approx. 10 seconds operate continuously.

4. Switch off and unplug the appliance, remove the jar and pour out the dishwater.

Rinse the jar thoroughly.

5. With stubborn residues still on the inner walls of the jar or on the blade assem-

bly, fill the jar again with max. 1000 ml lukewarm dishwater. Close the jar cor-

rectly with lid and measuring cup. Leave the jar soak for approx. 10 minutes.

Repeat steps 3 and 4.

6. If required, clean the lid and measuring cup separately in warm dishwater (see

below: ‘Cleaning the Removable Parts Separately’).
