not expose the glass body to extreme temperature variations.
Always
leave hot food cool down, before filling it into the jar.
Even small
splinters may cause severe injuries when getting into your food and
beverages.
Do not use the jar any longer, when the glass body is
broken or cracked or the edges are chipped.
• Do not process inflammable liquids (e.g. high-proof alcohol), because
vapours escaping from the jar during operation may catch fire at elec-
trically driven parts of the appliance (e.g. motor). Only use the appli-
ance for processing edible food. Do not overfill the jar. However,
do
not operate the appliance with the jar empty. The appliance is not
suited for grinding dry food (e.g. nuts or cereals).
• Do not use any hard, sharp or edged objects (e.g. knives, forks) with
the appliance. For example, use cooking utensils made of wood or
plastic to remove your food or push it down. To avoid overheating:
Do not operate the motor continuously for more than 2 minutes at a
time. Allow the motor to rest for 1 minutes before continuing. If the
blades get stuck or agitate noticeably slow, stop operation immedia-
tely (rotary switch to “0”).

To avoid that the jar falls down, always remove the jar from the
motor base, before moving the motor base.
Always grasp the motor
base at both sides of the housing for moving it. Do not hold the motor
base at the power cord or jar for moving the motor base. Do not
place any hard or heavy objects on or into the appliance or its parts.
• Do not use any abrasive cleaners, cleaning pads (e.g. metal scouring
pads), or any corrosive chemicals (e.g. bleach, organic solvents) for
cleaning. Do not leave any food dry on or go bad on the appliance
and/or within the jars. Clean the appliance after use to prevent an
accumulation of dried-on food (see: ‘Care and Cleaning’).
IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS FOR ELECTRICAL APPLIANCES
The appliance is driven electrically. Ensure that the ratings of your mains
power supply correspond to the requirements of the appliance: 230 V,
50/60 Hz, AC, at least 10 A, with protective conductor (earth/ground)
connected properly. Place the appliance near a suitable wall power
