PROPERTIES OF YOUR VITAL MIXER PLUS
Your new VITAL MIXER PLUS can prepare delightful, healthy drinks or even crushing
ice for making your drinks refreshing cool. Additionally, it is suited for mixing, chop-
ping and mincing solid food (e.g. fruit, vegetables) for your dishes and the required
ingredients for your side dishes. The blades doing this job are rotating on high
speed and, conveniently, can be removed from the jar. In the centre of the lid, an
opening enables quick addition of further ingredients. To prevent the contents of the
jar from being hurled out during operation, the measuring cup serves for closing the
central opening in the lid, while the motor is running. Additionally, you may use it
for measuring out small amounts of your ingredients. Stop the motor, before taking
out the measuring cup.
CAUTION
– For any usual purposes, always avoid operating the motor,
while the measuring cup is not in place and the central opening is left open.
However, when this type of operation is really crucial for your recipe, to avoid
excessive splashing, strictly adhere to the instructions given in section ‘Operation
/ Adding Ingredients While the Motor Is Running’.
Especially for solid ingredients, you achieve the best results via the pulse function.
After operation, in most cases you can use the self-cleaning feature. Alternatively,
you may disassemble the jar and wash the parts coming in contact with food separa-
tely. For this simply unscrew the blade assembly. This makes even thorough cleaning
of the jar effortless (see: ‘Care and Cleaning’).
CAUTION
–
Do not process hot food.
Always leave hot food cool down
to room temperature before operation.
Additionally,
do not process dry food
. The appliance is NOT suited for grinding
nuts and similar ingredients. For chopping this type of food, always add some liquid
(e.g. puréeing almonds for almond milk).
SAFETY INTERLOCKS
WARNING
– For your protection, your new VITAL MIXER PLUS is equipped
with various safety interlocks. Do not attempt to damage or by-pass the safety inter-
locks! Do not attempt to operate the appliance using any parts that are not recom-
mended by the manufacturer.
Built-in safety interlocks ensure that the motor will run only with the designated jar
correctly in place (see: ‘Operation / Getting Ready for Operation’), and with the
lid engaged securely on the jar.
