If the appliance overheats, a self-resetting safety switch will shut off the motor auto-
matically. This may occur in the following cases:
• The appliance has been in continuous operation for more than 2 minutes.
• The filling of the jar is very glutinous or hard.
• Too much food in the jar.
• Very hard ingredients are caught between the blades and the jar and block the blades.
Thus, if the motor stops unexpectedly, immediately switch off (rotary switch to “0”)
and unplug the appliance. While leaving the motor cool down for 30 - 45 minutes,
you should remove the reason for overheating. Thereafter, you can use the appliance
again (see: ‘Solving Problems’).
TIPS FOR BEST RESULTS
Whenever possible, you should
keep the central opening of the lid closed via
the measuring cup
and hold your hand on top of the jar, while the motor is run-
ning. During processing, further ingredients can be added via the central opening.
However, you should stop the motor, before removing the measuring cup. Replace
the measuring cup, before starting the motor again.
• If your recipe strictly requires addition of further ingredients during operation
(e.g. for emulsifying), always expect that pieces of food and splashes will be
hurled out via the central opening. Adhere strictly to the instructions in section
‘Operation / Adding Ingredients While the Motor Is Running’.
• Always remove the jar from the motor base, before removing the lid and/or pushing
your food down from the inner walls of the jar.
Do not hold any foreign objects
into the jar, while the appliance is live and the jar is placed on the motor base!
