Proceed as follows for adjustment:
- Loosen the bolt (Fig. 24 C, D).
- Lengthen or shorten the stroke of the disk arm until the desired
length is reached.
- Tighten the bolt (Fig. 24 C, D).
Remember that for very low L values (distance between the
external-most piece and the row marker) the arm may be inverted
from position (1) to position (2) as shown in Figure 24.
For normal soils the correct working position of the disc is that
shown in Fig. 25 ref. A; for strong soils turn it over as shown in ref.
B Fig. 25.
3.11.2 ROW-MARKER CONTROL ASSEMBLY
The row-marker can be controlled by three different systems.
- Manual control (Fig. 26);
- Automatic control (Fig. 27);
The automatic control enables the right or left row-markers by
moving the tractor lift.
If, for any reason, you have to operate the hoist without exchanging
the row marking arms, disengage the movement using a cord
hooked to the ring (D), operating from the driver's seat.
Adjustment
If lever (A) either fails to hook onto, or unhook from, pin (B), adjust
the extension (C= ~90 mm).
- Hydraulic control (Fig. 28)
ATTENTION
Safety measures concerning the hydraulic control:
1) When the hydraulic pipes are connected to the hydraulic
system of the tractor, make sure that the hydraulic systems
of the operating machine and the tractor are not under
pressure.
2) For hydraulic-type functional connections between the
tractor and operating machine, sockets and plugs must be
marked with colors, in order to prevent erroneous use. It
could be dangerous if an exchange should occur.
3) The hydraulic system is under high pressure; because of
accident hazards, when leaking points are looked for,
suitable auxiliary instruments should be used.
3.12 SEED LEVEL IN THE HOPPER
The level of seed in the hopper can be easily controlled by the
operator from the driver’s seat by checking the indicator (Fig. 29).
