Removing the 12-V battery
Caution
Danger of burns
The voltage regulator gets very hot when the vehicle is driven.
–
Allow the voltage regulator to cool down before performing any work.
Note
Environmental hazard
12 V batteries contain environmentally hazardous materials.
–
Do not dispose of 12 V batteries as household waste.
–
Dispose of 12 V batteries at a collection point for used batteries.
Preparatory work
–
Remove the seat. (

Main work
–
Hang the voltage regulator to the side.
–
Disconnect negative cable

from the 12-V battery.
–
Pull back positive terminal cover

and disconnect the positive
cable from the 12-V battery.
–
Remove screw

–
Pull holding bracket

forward and remove the 12-V battery
upwards.

Installing the 12-V battery

Main work
–
Insert the 12-V battery into the battery compartment with the ter-
minals facing forward and secure with holding bracket

Mount and tighten screw

Connect positive cable

to the 12-V battery.
