Clearing Paper Jams
3. Remove the sheet. Pull the
jammed sheet gently not so
as to remain pieces of paper
in the printer.
If you cannot remove the
jammed paper from the
paper tray, follow the next
steps.
4. Remove the print unit and
close the shutter under the
drum. For detailed
procedures and advisory
notes, see the section
Replacing the Print Unit
in Chapter 4.
5. Remove the sheet. While
lifting the knob (green) of
the paper guide (near side)
to open it, pull the jammed
sheet gently not so as to
remain pieces of paper in
the printer.
6. Return the paper tray.
7. Return the print unit after
opening and hooking the
shutter under the drum
and close the upper door.
The printer is initialized.
Warning:
Do not touch the heat roller. This hot area may burn your hand. See
the label attached to the frame under the upper door.
