Basic hardware procedures

Connecting the server to the mains

V

CAUTION!

The server supports a mains voltage in the range of 100 V - 240 V. You
may only operate the server if its rated voltage range corresponds to the
local mains voltage.

Ê

Connect all power cords to the power outlets.

I

To provide true phase redundancy, the second power supply unit
should be connected to a different AC power source from the other
power supply unit. If one AC power source should fail, the server will
still continue to run.

I

After connecting the server to the mains it takes about 60 secondes
until the server enters the standby mode.

Ê

Ensure that the indicator on the power supply unit lights up green.

I
