Notes on Installation

Drivers
For expansion card drivers, refer to "4.1.1 Required Driver Disks" ( pg.110).
●
Notes on Each Card
For notes of specific expansion card, refer to the manuals supplied with the card and the notes provided
with the server. Also, check the following for respective expansion cards.
●
SCSI card
• Connect a SCSI option supported by this server to the SCSI card.
Unsupported SCSI options are not guaranteed.
• If an internal hard disk unit where an OS has been installed is not connected to the SCSI card, set the
card BIOS to [Disabled].
For the BIOS setup of SCSI cards, refer to the manual supplied with the expansion card.

Installing Remote Service Board

Notes on Installation
For preparation of the Remote Service Board installation and its installation procedures, refer to the
manual supplied with the Remote Service Board.
• Do not connect the Remote Service Board AC adapter before installing the
Remote Service Board to the server and closing the top cover of the server.
Doing so may cause failures, fire, or electric shock.
• When replacing the Remote Service Board or adding other optional devices,
make sure to unplug the power cable of the Remote Service Board AC adapter
before starting operations
Failure to do so may cause failures, fire, or electric shock.
• When the server is installed high up in the rack, fix the AC adapter in the rack.
If the AC adapter is dangling by a cable, an excess force is applied to the cable
which will cause failures.
