multi-purpose bay left empty could result in damage to your computer.

Installing a unit in the mobile multi-purpose bay

To install the new device into the Mobile bay for Win XP or W2K, you have to press the
Sus/Res button and let the system in standby/hibernate.

Install the unit in the mobile multi-purpose bay.
Insert the unit into the multi-purpose bay as far as it will go, with its connector side facing to the
back of the bay.

After that press the Sus/Res button to wake-up the system, now you can use the new
device.
Critical Point
The icon of the unit in the multi-purpose bay may disappear from the My Computer window
immediately after changing the drive. However, it reappears in a while, notifying you that the
drive is ready for use.
IMPORTANT
•
Do not use your computer with the multi-purpose bay left empty to avoid damage.
•
If you raise the bay unit release lever, the unit in the mobile multi-purpose bay will be
unlocked and sometimes become unusable. To avoid this, do not raise the lever except
when you want to remove the unit. If you have raised the lever by mistake, remove and
reinstall the unit.
