Expansion RAM module slot cover
Notch in the module

Install memory.
Insert the memory module into the slot with the notch in the memory module aligned with the
projection on the connector, and turn it down until it clicks into place.

Attach the expansion RAM module slot cover and secure it with the screws.
Attach the cover removed in step 3.
Checking the memory capacity
IMPORTANT
•
In case memory is not installed properly, the error message “Expansion memory error”
or another message will be displayed in English when you first turn on the computer
after installing the memory. If such a message appears, press the power button to shut
down the computer, and reinstall the memory.

Turn on the computer.

Click the Start button and select Control Panel.
The Control Panel window is displayed.

Click Performance and Maintenance, and then System.
The System Properties dialog box is displayed.
