5.2 ETERNUS DX Disk Storage System Monitoring Setup

Switch SNMP Daemon (SNMPD)

To switch the SNMPD (SNMP v1 or SNMP v2c/v3) that is to be used, change the SNMPD
using the [Switch SNMPD] screen.

Click [Switch SNMPD] under the [Network Settings] menu on the [Global Settings] tab
in the ETERNUS Web GUI screen.
The [Switch SNMPD] screen appears.

Check "Supported SNMP Version" and confirm the current SNMPD and the SNMPD
that is to be used at the next power-on. When changing SNMPD, click the [Switch]
button.

A confirmation screen appears.

Click the [OK] button.

Reboot the ETERNUS DX Disk storage system.

IMPORTANT

•

When switching the SNMPD, select "Disable" for "SNMP Func-
tion" in the [Setup SNMP Agent] screen.

•

If the SNMPD is switched, the current SNMP Agent environment
settings are deleted.

•

After switching the SNMPD, reboot the ETERNUS DX Disk
storage system.
