4-15. [F6]: AF Adjustment
[Preparations]
Ensure that the AF chart and 600mm conversion
lens are available before beginning AF adjustment.

diagram at right.

1) Ensure that distance is measured from the front of
the camera during AF adjustment.
2) When adjusting AF after replacing the LENS CONST
or MAIN PWB ASSY, always ensure that CAM adjust-
ment is complete before beginning AF adjustment.
<Step 1>
Select
[F6]
from
[Adjustment Select Screen (Fig.4)]
(ie
press the [F6] key on the computer).
---> The
[AF Adjustment Preparation Screen (Fig.22)]
is
displayed.
<Step 2>
Follow the instructions on the
[AF Adjustment Prepara-
tion Screen (Fig.22)]
, and make the following prepara-
tions.
1) Ensure that the 600mm conversion lens is available.
2) Ensure that the AF chart is available.
3) Mount the camera on a tripod.
When preparations are complete, press the [Enter] key
on the computer.
---> The
[AF Adjustment (INF) Start Screen (Fig.23)]
is dis-
played.
<Step 3>
Follow the instructions on the [AF Adjustment (INF) Start
Screen (Fig.23)], and make the following preparations.
1) Adjust the distance between the camera and the AF
chart to 620±5mm.
2) Adjust the distance between the camera and 600mm
conversion lens to 30±5mm.
3) Adjust so that the center of the AF chart displayed on
the camera LCD monitor is displayed on the center of
the LCD monitor.
When preparations are complete, press the [Enter] key
on the computer.
---> AF adjustment (INF) begins.
