Replacing the Oxygen Sensor

The

VT PLUS HF

uses a galvanic oxygen sensor that is warranted for 12 months. The

oxygen sensor cell needs to be replaced when the oxygen calibration cannot be
successfully completed. The oxygen sensor may operate for longer than 12 months
depending on use. To replace the oxygen sensor, follow these steps below.

Disconnect the power cord before opening the oxygen sensor door.

Remove the three screws in the oxygen sensor door on the back of the

VT PLUS HF

The oxygen sensor is a round plastic cylinder about one inch in diameter with wires
protruding from the back of the sensor.

Disconnect the in-line electrical connector on the sensor wire.

Un-screw the old sensor and remove it.

Screw in the new sensor (Fluke Biomedical P/N 2138514).

Re-connect the sensor wire.

Replace the oxygen sensor door.

Re-calibrate the oxygen sensor following the instructions below.

Procedure for Calibrating the Oxygen

Enter the oxygen calibration screen as follows:

Enter the setup menu by pressing the

SETUP

key.

Press the ^ and v soft keys to select

UTILITIES

and then press the

ENTER

soft key.

Press the ^ and v soft keys to select

OXYGEN CALIBRATION

and then press the

ENTER

soft key.

Note:

When

AIRWAY

is selected, the airway transducer will be connected to the

currently selected.
