7. 

Printing

 

You can print reports from the 

VT Plus for Windows

 software to any printer installed on 

your computer.   

There are two ways to print from 

VT Plus for Windows®

. Selecting 

PRINT

 from the 

FILE

 

menu will bring up the system print dialog box. This allows you to select which 

printer you want to use and adjust settings on that printer. Clicking 

OK

 will send the 

report to the printer. The second way to print is to click the 

PRINT

 button on the tool bar.  

This does not bring up the print dialog.  The report is automatically sent to the default 
system printer. 

The print header that appears at the top of the reports is stored in the 

VT PLUS HF

. It is 

loaded into the 

VT Plus for Windows

 Software every time it connects to a 

VT PLUS HF

 

unit. The print header can be changed using the 

PRINT HEADER

 function in the 

SETUP

 menu. 

8. 

Loading Flash Memory 

The 

VT PLUS HF 

operating software is stored in flash memory onboard the 

VT PLUS 

HF. VT Plus for Windows®

 may be used as a utility to load new versions of operating 

software into the 

VT PLUS HF. 

Caution:

 

Using this utility to load new versions of 

VT PLUS HF

 software will 

overwrite any user settings stored in the 

VT PLUS HF

. Loading new 

software via this utility will not change the calibration of the 

VT PLUS HF

. 

 
The procedure is as follows: 

1.

 

Select 

FILE

 then 

LOAD FLASH

 from the menu. The 

VT PLUS HF

 operating 

software is stored on two layers:  (1) flash (code file) operating code, and (2) text. 

2.

 

Use the Browse button to point to the file 

“FLASH.hex

” for the code file, and  

“VP-TEXT.hex”

 for the text file.  

3.

 

Press 

OK

 to begin downloading. 

When communications are established, the 

VT PLUS HF 

splash screen will be displayed, 

and a 

LOADING FLASH

 dialog will appear on 

VT Plus for Windows®

 with a status bar 

(

Figure 8-14

). When the download is complete, the 

VT PLUS HF

 will return to the 

default screen. The download version can be verified by going to the information screen 
on the 

VT PLUS HF

.
