Proportional pressure regulator
The proportional pressure regulator is used to regulate pressure proportional
to a specified nominal value. A built-in pressure sensor records the pressure
at the working port and compares this value with the setpoint value. If there
are deviations between the actual value and the setpoint value, the control
valve is actuated until the outlet pressure reaches the setpoint value.
Figure 5: Proportional pressure
regulator
The operating pressure of 6 bar is switched to input (1) of the proportional pressure regulator by a
5/2W solenoid valve. The outlet (2) is connected to the filter and pressure sensor via a manual pressure
relief valve. The proportional pressure regulator is exhausted via outlet (3).

Pressure sensor with analog and switching signal
The sensor converts pneumatic pressure values (relative pressure) into
electrical signals, which can be used for control or regulating functions.
Measurements are carried out using a piezoresistive sensor element with a
downstream electronic evaluation unit. The connection to the higher-level
system is established via a switching output and an analog output. The
switching outputs can be configured for monitoring a threshold value, a
pressure range or a change in the pressure.
Figure 7: Pressure sensor SPAU
For the switching output, PNP or NPN and normally open (NO) or normally closed (NC) can optionally be set.
Through the IO-Link interface, process values can be read out and parameters changed and transmitted to
additional devices. The voltage standard signal is connected to the analog terminal XD3 (UE1).
