Adjusting the speed on the Brushcutter / Line Trimmer
NOTE:
The cutting head (spool and line) will not rotate at the idle speed.
The cutting head (spool and line) will engage and
rotate when the speed of the motor is increased.
1. To increase speed and engage the cutting head,
squeeze the safety lever (9) and then throttle trig-
ger (8). (Fig. AP)
2. To decrease the speed, slowly release the throttle
trigger (8) to the desired speed.
3. To disengage the cutter head (spool and line),
release all pressure on the throttle trigger (8) and
allow the motor to return to idle. The cutter head
(spool and line) will disengage at idle.
NOTE:
Be aware that when using the 3T brushcutter blade (28), it will take a
few seconds to run down.
IMPORTANT:
If the cutting head (spool and line) does not disengage and
stop when the throttle is in the idle position, TURN OFF the petrol motor and
have the unit checked at a service centre. This should be checked EVERY time
the motor is started.
Stopping the Brushcutter/ Line Trimmer
1. Release the throttle trigger (8) and allow the engine to idle for a few mo-
ments.
2. Slide the on/off switch (10) to the ‘OFF’ position (towards to the lower
shaft) as marked with “STOP” and a directional arrow. Also indicated on
the side of the handle housing by an “O”.
3. The engine will now stop.
Running in the engine
1. During the first 2–3 hours of work, run the engine at a moderate RPM.
2. We advise you in any case not to maintain your engine at a high speed as
the different components must settle with each other during the process of
running in the engine.
3. It is at the end of the running in period that the engine will reach its maxi-
AP.
