3.7. Advanced Commands for Reader Control

The advanced commands are primary implemented to make the usage of the OBID® firmware update
tool possible. The usage of this commands are recommend for new applications, because they are
providing some additional features and information's.

3.7.1. [0x52] Baud Rate Detection / Reader Detection

This command can be used to detect the presence of a reader at the current host interface.

NOTICE:

•

The response will only be sent by the reader if the request is executed with the baud rate
and actual parity of the Reader.

3.7.2. [0x55] Start Flash Loader

This command starts reader internal Flash Loader. After the reader has received the command, it
switches into the Flash-Loader mode.
