3.6. Autopassword-Mode (ID DTx.C)
In the autopassword-mode the reader generates a unique password for each transponder, according
to a secret process. The transponder password (4 bytes long) serves as starting value for the
password algorithm for ID DTx.C (see 3.4. [0xA3] [0xA4] Change Transponder Password for ID
DTx.C). Thus, it is not possible to contact the transponder in other applications that operate in
autopassword-mode, too.
By using the autopassword it is possible that write commands will only be effective on the transponder
which has been selected with the autopassword. If all transponders are equipped with the same
password, it is possible to write unintentionally on multiple transponders that are located within the
detection range of the reader.

The autopassword mode is activated or deactivated by the PW-mode.
