Refining the Registration

Refining the registration refers to the process of increasing the accuracy

of the registration and reducing error. Refining allows you to have more

control over the amount of error and more confidence in the results.
Inspecting and refining are conducted in conjunction with one another –

repeat each process until you are satisfied with the results.
Refining the registration is based on ignoring the correspondences with

the highest tensions.
To refine the registration, open the

ScanManager

, then click on the

Target Tensions

tab.

The

Tension

values (second column) are automatically sorted from

highest to lowest.
